Kokum Agal is a pure fruit extract from the Kokum fruit (Garcinia Indica) found in the Kokan region of Maharashtra. The fruit extract also known as Agal is cured in salt & sometimes in spices like cumin & back salt. The result is a tangy, sweet, and slightly salty drink that is hydrating as well as delicious. Kokum agal can be used as a souring agent in various Konkani cuisines. It adds a tangy flavor to curries, dals, and soups.
